Prerequisite: You are required to visit maupass.govmu.org to complete the registration process. If you are a citizen of Mauritius, please provide your personal information according to your National Identity Card.

To log in to the mobile application, you will need to enter your username and password. The application allows you to access and manage your personal information, update your profile picture, and modify your password.

Additionally, you can generate One-time Passwords (OTPs) for services that require Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), such as mokloud e-service. To activate 2FA on your MauPass profile, a visit to a designated post office is necessary to enable the generation of OTPs. Kindly bring along your National Identity Card or Passport in case you registered on MauPass using your passport number.

The mobile app offers the option to enable passwordless authentication. This feature permits users to log in to the MauPass web portal using a PIN, pattern, or biometrics. You can opt for passwordless authentication on both the mobile app and web portal.

To enable Passwordless authentication on the app:

1. Tap on Passwordless Authentication.
2. Tap the Passwordless Options button to access the Settings screen.
3. Select Passwordless Options from the menu.
4. Enable PIN, Pattern, or Biometrics authentication as desired.

Please note that none of this information is stored in the MauPass backend system; PINs, Patterns, or Biometric data are saved securely on your device. Biometric features (fingerprint and facial recognition) are only functional if supported by your mobile device and activated.

Once activated, you can conveniently use the QR scanner on the MauPass mobile app to scan the QR code on the MauPass website's login page. This scanning process will prompt you to authenticate using your preferred method set up within the MauPass mobile app.

To enable login through Passwordless authentication on the MauPass mobile app, navigate to Settings and activate App Lock as an additional security measure.
